Founded in Windhoek, Namibia, Nam Radio was established with a singular, resolute objective: to directly challenge and reduce the structural inequalities that prevent emerging African musicians from gaining traction on mainstream broadcasting networks.
Traditional media gatekeepers frequently demand prohibitive promotional fees, pay-for-play arrangements ("payola"), or pre-existing virality before offering airplay to independent artists. Nam Radio rejects this paradigm in its entirety.
